1John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth
We are delighted to have received 'Outstanding' in our last SIAMS inspection which looks specifically at how RE and collective worship is taught within our school.
As a school our core Christian values are Hope, Honesty and Compassion and our branch values are Community, Love and Respect. Our values are very important to us and underpin everything we do.
At St.Peter's, we follow the new Bury Agreed Syllabus 2021 as the recommended syllabus from the Manchester Diocese.
The EYFS framework is organised differently to the National Curriculum that is used for children in Year 1 to Year 6: it is organised across seven areas of learning rather than subject areas.
The table via the link below identifies the statements taken from the 2020 Development Matters which are prerequisite skills for Religious Education within the National Curriculum. There are many opportunities in EYFS for these skills to be practised and developed outside of focussed RE sessions.
The most relevant statements for RE are taken from the following areas of learning:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Understanding the World
Saint Peter was a Christian in the Bible. He is also know as Peter the Apostle and was one of Jesus' trusted disciples. Saint Peter was one of the first leaders of the early church.
